The Library Journal calls Through the Eyes of the Dead "insubstantial though likeable...nothing serious or ponderous here, just a smoothly written romp," and from the brief description garnered from the blurbs, it does sound like it's a little on the fluffy side.
Two spunky San Francisco private eyes, "feisty" AILEEN DOUGLASS and her partner, the "beauteous" SHARON ATWOOD, are conned by a handsome young gypsy, into giving him shelter after his sister shoots him. And then a client of theirs is murdered. But soon enough, the women discover they've stumbled onto a scam by a bunch of wayward and crooked Gypsies. Supposedly, there's plenty of action, some wild car chases and a suitably violent and bloody finale.
