Henry Goiler

Created by Tom Fassbender and Jim Pascoe

For those of you who can’t get enough of retro eye Benjamin Drake, check out “Faze Out,” a nitty, gritty short story by Fassbender and Pascoe featuring Drake’s nemesis and inter-office rival at the Always Reddy Detective Agency in Testacy City, fellow op HENRY GOILER. In this tale, the paunchy, balding, fortyish private eye with a taste for hookers, hooch and mayhem gets more than he bargained for when he’s handed a rich-kid rescue job.

Under their joint pseudonym of Dashiell Loveless, Fassbender and Pascoe are responsible for a novel and several short stories featuring Drake. Besides being two of the sharpest-dressed dudes on the planet, they’re the vodka-drenched brains behind Uglytown, a small uppity press that made a lot of noise back around the turn of the millenium, and may yet rise again.
