Private eye ROSE VOGEL works the mean streets of an unnamed city on the East Coast in the 1940s, wears a spiffy sequined hat (which sometimes attracts unwanted attention), and, according to her author, “has more than a little of Henry Beard’s Meg Hammer in her.”
She gets caught up in a bicoastal power struggle in “Snow White and Rose Red,” a short story in Pinup Noir: Sultry Murder Jazz (February 2025), and marks a possible series launch.
