STOP!!! Turn Back! Please!
Okay, don’t say we didn’t try to warn you. But sometimes it’s difficult to discuss a book without revealing an essential plot twist. The following examples are ones I didn’t feel comfortable revealing.
- Vengeance is Mine by Mickey Spillane (1950)
Mike Hammer discovers, in the last line, that Juno was a man, although he is presented as a woman throughout the story. - The Man Who Killed His Brother by Reed Stephens (1980)
In the final pages, private eye Ginny Fistoulari‘s hand is blown off. - The January Corpse by Neil Albert (1991)
Private eye Dave Garrett discovers that the woman who he fallen in love with is actually the man he was hired to find.
Respectfully submitted by Kevin Burton Smith.
