The P.I. Calendar

Okay, okay, I know. This page is occasionally out-of-date, but we’re doing much much better than we used to. If you’ve got a relevant event — a convention, a fan event, a Noir-at-the-Bar, a mystery-writing course or something — coming up, tell me… Or at least put me on your mailing list, if you’re organized enough to have one. If your event is not listed here, it might not be my fault.

Sorry, authors, I’m not looking for individual book signings — that way would lead to madness. And before you book rooms, rent cars, book flights, saddle your horse or anything, it’s best to check directly with the event’s organizers for any updates. (Now if only they’d update their own web sites!)

• Newberry Crime Writing Workshop Set for 2026

  An intensive four-week writers’ workshop for developing crime and mystery authors, taught by (among others) Joe R. Lansdale, Cheryl Head and Michael Bracken, as well as Dr. Warren  Moore, professor of English, NCWW co-director, and no stranger to the darker side of crime fiction himself.
