Rex Bonner

Created by John B. Miller Jr.

In his self-published “City By the Bay” series, we meet John Miller’s REX BONNER, a San Francisco (I assume) gumshoe who, as we’re breathlessly told, “charts his way through the streets and alleys of his town to locate the center of the crux of his case and bring it to a client’s approval, dodging hurdles and parrying threats along the way as others get the chance to pay the piper for the life they chose and the horror that fills it.”

Rex was once an accomplished precision machinist, but at the ripe old age of twenty-eight, gave it up to become the proud owner of the Bonner Detective Agency. Besides Rex, the agency employs Vince Carter, his assistant.
