Talk about going to the dogs…
Writer David Rosenfelt’s pooch-loving lawyer-sleuth Andy Carpenter has seen his own bestselling series pretty much taken over by Tara, his beloved Golden Retriever, and a revolving cast of assorted affable canines.
And now he’s gone and spun-off a whole new series, which has recently retired Paterson, New Jersey cop COREY DOUGLAS, and his German Shepherd partner, Simon Garfunkel (also recently retired), joining forces with Andy’s wife, private eye LAURIE (née Collins) CARPENTER and her partner, MARCUS CLARK (“the toughest, scariest guy on the planet”), to form a new detective agency, THE K TEAM, who often find themselves investigating cold cases for the Paterson Police Department.
The focus here is primarily on ex-cop Corey, who handles most of the narration chores. In Paterson, that’s just the way things go.
