Yet another detective from prolific pulpster and one of the original Black Mask Boys that George Harmon Coxe PAUL BARON, a hard-boiled private eye, who appeared in four stories in Black Mask in 1936.
He was ably assisted by his “scrappy side kick,” Buck O’Shea.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Coxe created several other private eye and private eye-adjacent detectives, including Sam Crombie, Max Hale, Leon Morley, and Jack Fenner, as well as hard-nosed cop, Sgt. Jansen and medical examiner Dr. Paul Standish, but he’s best known for his two crime photographers/amateur sleuths, Flashgun Casey and Kent Murdock, who are both basically private eyes with cameras.
