Takayasu Higashino (Bondage House)

Written by Takushi Fukada & Hiroshi Ishii

Get out the nipple clamps!

In Kindan no Ai (English: Bondage House), a thirty-minute videoblast of hentai anime, Japanese private eye TAKAYASU HIGASHINOA enters “a dangerous game of intrigue, seduction and S&M when he investigates a mysterious mansion with sex-crazed residents,” with plenty of  “Kinky animated fare in the tradition of Erotic Torture Chamber”promised.

Not that Takayasu isn’t up to the task, of course. He’s one private, er, dick, with loads of skills: his knowledge of guns and his martial arts skills are top-notch, and his “special interrogation techniques” are guaranteed to crack any female suspect.

He goes undercover to rescue his client, the beautiful Ayane from a fate worse than death, and soon finds himself fending off a mansion full of sex-crazed bodyguards, seductive aunts and evil uncles.

Except… Takayasu looks an awful lot like her stepbrother Shingo, who recently died in a suspicious car accident. Which is why she’d hired Takayasu in the first place.

Nobody watched this for the plot, of course. Suffice it to say that this dirty little cartoon was for ADULTS ONLY. If anyone out there has actually seen this, I’d love to hear their thoughts.

I dunno.

Looking back thirty or so years from when I first wrote this entry,  the idea of those local, mom-and-pop video stores with a “special room” for adults fare, closed off from prying eyes by only a curtain — and the films themselves — seems almost quaint, compared to the instant (self) gratification we all expect from the web now.
