Thirty-something Minneapolis private detective TONY CROW used to be a Marine and a cop, but he’d like to think his troubled and occasionally fucked-up past is all behind him — it’s a past that also includes an ex-wife and a kid he never sees, and being shot in the gut and the knee while on duty, prompting his early retirement from the force and requiring him to use a cane. And a subsequent addiction to painkillers and a major bout of depression.
But his life still doesn’t seem to be working out all that rosy, which isn’t exactly good news for the all-too-human Tony and his ever-expanding “team” at Crow Investigation Service.
He may still need his custom-made cane to get around, but Tony’s a determined and defiant cuss, trying like hell to make amends for his past. Like, spending more “quality time” with his son Matt is now part of his agenda.
So far, Tony and crew have appeared in eight pleasantly pulpy self-published novels, all featuring “Crow” in the title, and all available as “virtual voice narration” audiobooks.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A Minneapolis transplant, Howard A. Schwartz currently lives in Austin, Texas with his wife Margaret and their dog Flash. Because of a busy work schedule he never had enough time to spend writing until an unfortunate illness forced him into an early retirement (Hey! Just like Tony!), but instead of getting depressed, he decided that when fate hands you a lemon, you start writing…

THE BOTTOM LINE: A Murder of Crows? Forced to take early retirement after being shot in the line of duty, this ex-cop (and former Marine) turned Minneapolis private peeper is the star of eight (and counting) pleasantly pulpy books, all featuring “Crow” in the title.
