Charleston private eye LIZ ADAMS eventually marries former client Brad O’Connor, in this fluffy but fun romance-tinged series of cozy mysteries, much to the approval of her truth sniffing black Labrador retriever, Duke.
Originally from Atlanta, she’d originally planned on going to law school, but got married instead. But she moved to Charleston after her husband dumped her, drawn by the city’s charms, and decided to “make a go of it” as a private investigator, as she explains in the series kickoff, Charleston Conundrum (2022), and several books later, it looks like she (and Duke) have succeeded.
There’s a lot of friends and a lot of talk of food, and a glass of wine is always close at hand, so yeah, it’s that kind of series.
