Another private eye from William Ard. BARNEY GLINES first appeared in You'll Get Yours, written by Thomas Wills. His next appearance (or two, I'm still looking...) were under the author's real name, William Ard, and also featured a new character named Danny Fortune.
Ard, a Brooklyn publicist and copywriter, also worked for a brief time, just after WWII, as a detective. He was also responsible for the adventures of New York private eyes TIMOTHY DANE, LOU LARGO, and JOHNNY STEVENS, none of which are too shabby. In fact, Ard wrote under several several pseudonyms, including Ben Kerr, Mike Moran and Jonas Ward.
