Most likely it’s not your fault. You haven’t broken the internet.
Chances are, the page you’re looking for doesn’t exist. At least not yet. Or at least not here.
Maybe I changed the title. Maybe I simply zigged when I should have zagged. Maybe the page isn’t quite ready for prime time.
But most likely, you’re clicking on a link to the old site that simply needs to be updated and hasn’t migrated here yet. It’s been a long process, transferring (and updating) close to 4000 pages to our new location. Even now there are still some strays waiting to be rounded up. But rest assured, we’re working on it. And hopefully, the search engines and other people’s sites will begin to catch up as well.
In the mean time, if you still haven’t found what you’re looking for, don’t be a Bono. You could try using our links at the top of every page.
You tried and you tried, and still can’t get no satisfaction? Drop me a line or fill out the comment section below, to grease the wheels. Let me know what page you were on, and which link you were following, and I’ll move it to the top of my To Do list. Usually takes a few hours. Or a few days. Please don’t expect a personal reply to comments left on this page–that way would lead to madness (on my part). But rest assured I read every one, and act on it as quickly as possible.
Please be patient. And hold on to your ticket stub, just in case.
Same goes for errors, typos and other mistakes. Let us know, and we’ll take care of it. Just not instantly… some of us work for a living.
Bribes also cheerfully taken.
Followed a link to film of Carvalho – Tatuaje, got the error message. Would be great to get more info about this
Ah, one of the strays from the other site… here ya go. https://thrillingdetective.wpcomstaging.com/2021/04/02/pepe-carvalho/
I saw a post that said you had a good overview of A man Called Hawk. I really like the series, and would be interested.
Me too! Are we the only ones who didn’t get a reply?

Hi. I was trying to get to your page on The Falcon with this link: http://www.thrillingdetective.com/falcon.html
via a google search on The Falcon. It took me to your “Bum Steer: page: https://thrillingdetective.wpcomstaging.com/2021/03/28/sorry-pal/
It’s now at https://thrillingdetective.com/2019/05/18/the-falcon-aka-michael-waring-gay-stanhope-falcon-gay-lawrence-tom-lawrence/, but the entire alphabetical index of eyes can be found at https://thrillingdetective.com/2018/07/29/private-eyes-alphabetical/
Love Ed and Am! Way overdue to re-read Fredric Brown.
Hmmmmm…. looking for Philip Marlowe….. Tailed him here but he must have seen me and slipped out the back. I’ll be at the bar if you find him.
Philip Marlowe is currently residing at https://thrillingdetective.com/2018/07/23/philip-marlowe/
Link to the Carrie Cashin page isn’t working. Get “bum steer” message.

Bookmarked “Keri Krane” some time ago; now it’s lost in the shuffle. Tried the menus–no dice. Can we get a fixed link, please? Thanks!
I’ll get on it today.
DID DIANE McBAIN ON SURFSIDE 6 WRITE AN AUTOBIOG LIKE “ALMOST FAMOUS” OR “FAMOUS ENOUGH”
Yes. It’s called FAMOUS ENOUGH: A HOLLYWOOD MEMOIR. It was published a few years ago, and it’s available at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1593935765/thethrillindetec, among other places.
Was looking for your thoughts on Carole Stanwyck & Sydney Kovack of Partners in Crime… hadn’t heard about this series until very recently.
You didn’t miss much. But my take on it is here. As always, your mileage (kilometrage?) may vary.
I was trying to get to the “El Ape and Deadbeat Sleeze, The Sleeze Brothers Website” from Wikipedia and I landed here. This is a nice page, but not what I wanted. 🙁
This one might be more to your liking: https://thrillingdetective.com/2022/05/30/el-ape-deadbeat-sleeze-the-sleeze-brothers/
But seriously, folks, I’m working as fast as I can, transferring pages from the old site. I’m not responsible for Wikipedia’s links–you’d have to contact them.
