CrimeTime called Goss's crime fiction debut, Thoroughfare of Stones (1995) "a welcome addition to the ranks of British PI-dom".

Richard Haley lives in Woking, Surrey. He also writes about private eye Frank Crane. Other novels include The Beckford Don, Blood and Money, The Murderer's Son, and Written in Water.
